I was thinking about upgrading my psp phat boy aka 1000 to a psp go but i notice something, smaller screenCost moreSony spends less in making it50 more bucks and i can get another ps3I do like the whole digital only thing so i was wondering how much is a 20gb memory for a psp 1000 if they even make them.( i can deal with my crappy lcd light )To psp go or not to psp go
just get a psp 3000 and a 16 gb stick for around 40 bucks on amazon the only thing you wont have it a blutooth capability which isnt needed anywayTo psp go or not to psp go
The GO is just...underwhelming.Plus, you may as well just make a new system, Sony. Noone of your games work on this new 'current' PSP.
Since you have a 1000 you must have quite a few UMD games, so imo a PSP 3000 would be a good choice since it has a UMD drive. (not all PSP games are yet? available to download on PSN)The PSP Go has a 3.8'' screen while all other PSP's have a 4.3'' screen, but the Go's screen has a resolution of 480 x 272, the sameas all other PSP's, but putting that same resolution in a smaller screen means slightly clearer/ crisper images. The PSP Go already has 16GB built in %26 uses M2 memory cards which as of now go up to 16GB, all other PSP's use Memory Stick Pro Duo cards which also go up to 16GB, 20GB does not exist. I heard 32GB Pro duo's are coming this September (link)The price of the PSP Go is hard to justifty, it is too expensive in my eyes
I dont really own that many UMDs 5 total, i mostly just put ps1 games from the playstation store on it, so i can play my old retros on the go.
