Major PSN alternation on the release of ...

I currently don't have a PSP, but I decided to pre-order a Go so I can get in on all the great games. I have a quick question though.. As of now the PSN is lacking quite heavily on content and games and I was wondering since the PSP franchise is trying to flip to an all digital platform if you guys think they will begin to release lots of new things on October 1st within PSN??? If not, perhaps I made a boo-boo on purchasing the Go instead of the 3000??? Major PSN alternation on the release of ...
psp go simply isnt worth it. theres no worthwhile games on it for now. sure some ok games not great. why buy a god portable system thats underpowered and only has one analog stick for the price of a ps3? fool. now if it had some really good games then youd be alright but just dont show anyone the games you play on your fancy piece of crap. itll be really emberassing.

and lets not forget you arent getting the umd with your purchase or case so i recommend you buy the UMD to psp go reader so you can at least have a hard copy of what you buy so if you ever change psn or something you donr lose all your things you bought. and when you dump the psp go for a newer portable you wont have anything to sell cause its all digital on your psn. they screwed you.Major PSN alternation on the release of ...

you coulda bought a iphone its more powerful and is a phone and is cheaper. :3
It seems like that's what they're going for. I can't imagine going into the PSstore and seeing 50+ PSP games on the Latest downloads page on the week the go is released. That would be insane. I always figured they'd release maybe 10-15 games per week from now until the library is fully supported for download.
I'm getting a PSP Go myself.I do believe we'll start to see an acceleration of bringing PSP game to the PSN more and more. we may see a bit like ''and today were offering 20 new PSP games on the PSN today'' at the Tokyo Game Show.but i fully expect that Sony to bring more of the back catalog to the PSN. They'd be stupid not to.
just to give the op what he wanted. they said there will be more psp games by the end of 2009 than ever before

i just want to remind you that you can get a psp go disc reader and put the game files on your psp go directly. i would recommend never using psn to buy games whenever possible and actually buying the game disc and putting it on the psp go yourself. this allows you to sell the games later and not have to bind them to your psn account. dont let them screw you unless its much cheaper to get on psn.

still think they'll continue to add more back catalog games to the PSN. i'm talking the big hitters, like Final Fantasy, Monster Hunter, God of War, Resistance, Locoroco, Patapon. games that make the PSP stand out. it's pure profit for Sony and the publisher, only thing holding it back is going through the paperwork.
I'm sure the download floodgates will release soon, or all at once on October 1st. Hey, the release is a Thursday! Just noticed that... :wink:John Koller said they would be releasing nearly the entire UMD library on PSN, and I'm sure SCE is crafty enough to release it on the day it'll be most desired.

That actually is a really good idea. Since I am hearing you can get a UMD and put it on your Go I will most likely do that. I am keeping my fingers crossed with the Go, but I still understand it was a gamble..(I guess that comes from living in Nevada:D)

Since that method is illegal, and I highly doubt it'll work on the Go.
I guess I have no idea what to expect!! Didn't the PSP people say you could use the barcode (or something like that) from the UMD to get a Go version?!? Maybe I am making stuff up....

i forgot where i saw it but i clearly remember seeing a umd reader with a wire to connect into the psp go. idk if im imagining things but i think they said it was for 50 dollars. idk if it was in those youtube links i posted i didnt watch through it all. all i know is i remember seeing it and loling thinking to myself they are going to try and eventually get rid of hard copies to scam people like they are doing with pc games and serials bound to an account. those games better be half price or something when up for download. and what way is illegal? installing a game to the psp is illegal? backing up games is illegal or pirating lol?

Don't you think there'd be actual talk about such a device and likely less hate from the Internet community?Half price for download? Why? You're getting the same exact product but in a more convenient package. They're going to be the same price, I believe some dollars cheaper. If you're doing something with a product that was not intended or supported, it's copyright infringement. Unauthorized reproduction and distribution, commonly referred to as piracy. You're taking a UMD and ripping a duplicate file from it. The UMD still works, and you have another copy of the game. Of course that's illegal. No, installing a game to the PSP is not illegal, what you're talking about is ripping files from a copyright product.
i cant find the psp go umd reader. maybe it was all in my head. thats quite surprising. this is the first time i can recall imagining something of this sort lol.oh and lolIs it legal to sell backup copies of computer software (in online auctions or on website)? Is it legal to buy and use a backup copy of software I already own?
No. The Copyright Act does not permit anyone to sell backup copies to third parties separately from the original copy of the software. If you lawfully own a computer program, you may sell or transfer that lawful copy together with a lawfully made backup copy of the software, but you may not sell the backup copy alone.http://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-digital.htmlso you see by them making the software in digital format only bound to an account it makes it pretty much impossible to resell or trade in your software after you are done with it. this is why i think the price should be reduced for it. you also dont get the umd manual or case which is always worth something more so than the server sending you the actual software over the internet.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=up863eQKGUI

But with the lack of a case, paper manual and the fact that you're not buying it through a seperate retailer to Sony should make it somewhat cheaper.
I'm getting the PSPgo and I can't wait, the PSN is pretty bad now but Sony is going to have alot of the back catalogue of psp games availabe at launch and they will be making most of the PS1 game available,I'm looking forward the most to filling my system up with PS1 classics, I never had that system
Well, if the PSone catalog thing is true I am already sold on that. Just Xenogears, FF8, Parasite Eve, ect, ect.... is enough in my mind to have a Portable PSone on top on Dissidia Crisis Core and Monster Rancher.. I hope that is a real deal!!!
