I think it's a feature called ''Ad-Hoc Party'', and I think it's only avaliable in Japan ATM...
yep its called ad hoc party it allows you to play with a friend from seperate locations and allows you to use blue tooth to speak to eachother.
the basic idea is it creates a room online where you and your friend can play as though your next to eachother
if you want to get it just find a guide to setting up a japanese account and once set up the rest is pretty much childs play
