PSP not playing video

i have a PSP slim line and am not able to play video. i have formated the memory card and have been able to copy mp3 and listen to them and play games. i use WINAVI to convert to MP4 video size 320 x 240. i have created a video folder and also a folder MP_ROOT with sub folders 100MNV01 and 101ANV01 still not displaying but copies from PC ok. what could be wrong should i use another programPSP not playing video
What converter did you use?Try using Xvid4PSP by Winnydows(Google it) it encodes all your videos in to mpeg4 with correct PSP resolution.By the way, once you encode it there is no need to make the MPROOT folders, you can simply transfer it in to the VIDEO folder.PSP not playing video

i got the software and yes it shows on the PSP but when i go to play it is states data not supported how can i update the PSP its on version 4.0 and does not seem to want to update the software what do i need to do thanks
